David Crook, 66, went missing on Monday, May 31, and was last seen at 1am in Highbridge Street, Waltham Abbey.
Mr Crook, of Theydon Court, Waltham Abbey, was reported missing the next day after failing to turn up for his work in Hornchurch.
He is described as white, 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build, with receding grey hair. He was wearing a suit and tie and uses a walking stick to walk.
A police spokesman said: “This is extremely out of character for David and we are concerned for his welfare.
“He is a man of habit and usually visits his favourite pubs, the Welsh Harp and The Angel, in Waltham Abbey during the week and so far he has not visited either.”
