VOLUNTEERS have been urged to help a new Guide Dogs branch which is due to open in Epping next month.
Staff from the national organisation, which contributes to the training of animals to help disabled adults, say they are hopeful that many people in the town will be able to come forward.
Residents will get a chance to sign up and find out more at a roadshow outside Marks and Spencer in Epping High Street this Friday (June 4) between midday and 5pm.
Pippa Block, regional volunteer co-ordinator from Guide Dogs, said: “There are so many ways to volunteer. We’re looking for fundraisers, volunteer drivers, branch secretaries and treasurers, speakers and administrators.
"You can volunteer as an individual, or become involved in one of our rapidly-growing number of branches.
"Volunteering is fun and rewarding - you know you are helping to make a real difference to the lives of blind and partially-sighted people.”
If you are unable to attend the roadshow, more information can found by calling 0845 371 7771 or via email at volunteer@guidedogs.org.uk.
