MORE details have emerged about the earlier accident which is still causing severe delays to journeys on the M25 this morning.
Essex Police confirm that three vehicles were involved in the accident, which took place on the eastbound side between junction 26 at Waltham Abbey and junction 25 at Enfield at around 7.30am this morning (May 3).
They were a blue MG TF sport car, a white Nissan Primastar van, and a silver Volkswagen Passat.
One person was treated at the scene for minor head injuries, but it is not known which vehicle they were travelling in and whether they were one of the drivers.
Two lanes of the motorway were closed until 8.30am, when the vehicles were cleared off the road and onto the hard shoulder, and all three vehicles had been removed by 9.30am.
Police are currently investigating the circumstances of the crash.
Tailbacks are currently occurring to junction 28 with the A12 at the Brook Street roundabout, and journey times through the affected area are around 90 minutes, although traffic flow improves past the junction with the M11.
