A VILLAGE is gearing up for its annual festival with everyone invited to join in the fun.
This year's festivities in Abridge are once again spread over two days with Saturday, June 12 reserved for a craft fair and antique car festival at which 200 vehicles are expected to be on display.
The event will take place from 11am to 4pm at the village green, in Pancroft, with admission costs of £2 per person (children free).
The carnival kicks off properly on Sunday when a colourful parade of floats will move through the village, accompanied by the Epping Forest Pipe Band.
On the green, a marquee will be set up with arena displays, including a trapeze artist and, for the first time this year, there will be a synthetic ice-skating rink.
Entrance to the event, which starts at 1pm, will be £3 (children free). There is free car parking in the village.
