THE latest branch of a county-wide credit union has opened in a town.
Essex Savers has launched a new branch to operate every Thursday from Debden Library, based at Epping Forest College, in Borders Lane, Loughton.
Manned by two local volunteers, Maureen Shields and Jim Coombes, the branch will be open from 2pm to 4pm.
Essex Savers functions as a not-for-profit bank offering low interest loans to members, and particularly people unable to gain a loan from regular high street banks.
