THE wife of a cyclist killed in a motoring incident has paid tribute to a “dearly loved husband”.

Steven Rodway, 38, from Brentwood, was cycling along Ongar Road near the Passingford Bridge roundabout, in Stapleford Tawney, when he was involved in a collision with a silver Ford Puma.

He died at the scene from his injuries.

Mr Rodway's wife, Marrissa Rodway, said: “Steven was a dearly loved husband and proud father to Harriett and Erica.

“Steven worked as an insurance assessor for an insurance company that was based is Woodford.

“Steven liked skiing, DIY, music and had an interest in cars. He was also training for a local charity bike ride event, and that was what he was doing when he was tragically killed.

“All the family members and friends will greatly miss Steven very much.”

The family have not made any arrangements at this stage regarding Mr Rodway's funeral.

A 20-year-old woman from Brentwood and a 21-year-old man from Loughton have been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
