POLICE have named the man gunned down on Monday night.
Wayne Powell was shot in Higham Station Avenue, South Chingford, and was rushed by ambulance to Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, where he later died.
A post mortem on Wednesday confirmed the 39-year-old, who lived in Tottenham, died as a result of gun shot wounds.
Police are still investigating the shooting which happened at about 11.15pm on Monday (July 5).
A manhunt was launched for the gunman, who was wearing dark clothing, but so far no arrests have been made.
Floral tributes at the scene were laid by Mr Powell's brother Tyrone and relatives who called him uncle.
