PUPILS are delivering a petition to Downing Street to highlight education inequalities.
Heathcote School in Chingford signed up to the 1Goal campaign, a global campaign to draw attention to education inequalities.
The campaign has been backed by a host of top football names, including Rio Ferdinand and Thierry Henry, and schools up and down the country have joined the cause.
Heathcote pupils made individual posters supporting the campaign and they were all stuck together to make a huge poster petition.
Teacher Tanyel Ahmet organised the trip to No.10.
She said: "I emailed (the Prime Minister's office) and asked if we could take the posters to them as the campaign is aimed at world leaders.
"I received a reply and we are allowed to take six people, including adults.
"It's exciting for me and the children."
The campaign highlights that 72 million children in the world are denied the chance to go to school as they struggle to fight against poverty.
1GOAL is a campaign which aims to seize the power of football to lobby for change and ensure education for all is a lasting impact of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
