PUPILS from one of the borough's secondary schools were part of a world record attempt last week.
Students from Woodbridge High School took part an the T-Mobile Big Dance 2010 event at Mayfield School in Dagenham on Friday (July 9).
The ten pupils from Woodbridge have been visiting other schools in the borough to teach younger pupils different dances, after becoming Big Dance Ambassadors by winning a borough-wide competition earlier this year.
Ten pupils from Mayfield School also took part, along with 120 from Goodmayes Primary.
The nationwide record attempt smashed the previous record, which stood at just over 24,000, as more than 150,000 youngsters took part, in which every participant had to dance the same choreographed routine simultaneously up and down the country.
The final total has not yet been confirmed as Guinness are still collating information from the schools who took part across the country.
