A BEAUTY salon which has survived two recessions has celebrated its 20th anniversary.
The Therapy Room, which is based at Epping Sports Centre, in Hemnall Street, Epping, threw a party to mark the occasion complete with cake and champagne.
All guests on the evening were handed goodies bags, and a raffle was held with beauty treatments on offer as prizes.
Therapy Room owner Olivia Carter said: “It all went very well. I was delighted with the turnout. We had such a wonderful evening with so many clients who had supported us over the years.
“It was a recession back when we started, but we haven't changed. It's wonderful that even though we're tucked away at a sports centre we are still here.”
The evening also raised £400 for the charity Look Good Feel Better which provides free beauty treatments to women recovering from cancer.
Olivia, herself, has recently beaten breast cancer and intends to volunteer at Barts Hospital, in London this August, where she was treated.
