POLICE have arrested someone on suspicion of causing the death of a 36-year-old man in a crash.
Officers seized a 39-year-old man from Romford yesterday (Tuesday July 13) on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving in connection with the smash in Romford Road, Chigwell.
Police say a grey Ford Fiesta and a silver BMW crashed into each other in the street at around 10pm on Thursday May 20.
Paul Slater, from Dagenham, was thrown from the Fiesta and died a short while later in hospital.
The arrested man has been bailed until Tuesday September 28 pending further enquiries.
