PUPILS at a primary school are enjoying their new mural, which has brightened up a previously undecorated corner of their playground.
Youngsters at Nightingale Primary School in Ashbourne Avenue, South Woodford, can now enjoy the wall painting, which features pictures of all kinds of creepy crawlies and was designed by pupils themselves.
Assistant headteacher Jacqueline Levy said: “The mural was painted on a once plain wall in the infant playground.
“The theme was mini-beasts. All children in the school took part in designing different parts of the wall.
“They also played a big part in painting the different sections too. We were very fortunate as the PTA donated funds towards this project.
“Miss Herlihy, who co-ordinated the project, was very proud.”
