STAFF and pupils at Limes Farm Infants in Chigwell are celebrating after receiving a glowing Ofsted report.
Inspectors rated the school, in Limes Avenue, as "good" and said there were high prospects for further improvements.
Headteacher Jan Tunney said: "I'm delighted by the report.
"I think the thing was they recognised the quality of care for all the children and they recognised that all pupils are known as individuals here and given all the support they need.
"We always aim for the highest but I did self-assess us as 'good', so I'm pleased the inspectors agreed with that.
"We do try to work very much as a team and it was good that Ofsted picked that out."
The report said: "This is a good school where pupils are cared for well.
"They are known as individuals and receive high levels of support and encouragement. As a result, pupils develop into confident young learners who show respect for one another's backgrounds and ideas. Pupils are well behaved in and out of lessons.
"They feel very safe and secure in school and are confident that they can turn to any adult on the staff if they have a problem.
"Teaching is good throughout the school."
However the report said some improvements were needed in areas such as community cohesion and the way governors monitor the school.
