A TEMPORARY library is set to open on a busy high street later this month.
The library, at 679 High Road in Seven Kings, will offer 5,000 books, talking books and DVDs, plus residents can request other titles free of charge from the rest of the borough's existing libraries.
Folding shelving means the space can also be used as a meeting room outside normal opening hours.
It will also be the first library in Redbridge to open on a Sunday, and will open for 48 weeks of the year.
The library could be in place for a number of years while the council draws up plans for a new leisure facility for the area.
Invited guests can preview the library on Monday, July 26, before it opens to the public on Tuesday, July 27.
