ABOUT 350 people were at a multi cultural event at a school.
Walthamstow School for Girls held a multi cultural evening last night to celebrate the diversity within the borough and the school.
Amra Duherich, a teacher at the school, said: "It was a huge success with parents, pupils and staff enjoying it.
"It was all about celebrating cultural diversity and there was so much happening."
Years 7 to 10 were involved and there were also professional singers and dancers at the school.
There were performances of Egyptian and Romanian dance and pupils read the Benjamin Zephaniah poem British.
Year 10 pupils provided the catering for the event and travel and tourism pupils sold tickets.
As well as a range of music, dance, arts and crafts there was also a range of foods from around the world which could be tasted.
