THE Sultan pub in Waltham Abbey is to hold a charity race night tomorrow (Friday July 16) to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support.
The event is being organised by resident Danny Cox, 29, in memory of his step-father who died of cancer last year.
Mr Cox, of Buxton Road, will also be taking part in a sky dive in Cambridgeshire at the weekend to raise money for the cause.
He said: "I've never done a sky dive before so I'm a little bit nervous, but it's going to be well worth it.
"I'm hoping to raise about £1,000. It's such a good cause."
The event, at the pub in Sewardstone Road, begins at 7.30pm.
