THE funeral is to be held this week of a mother who died four months after suffering serious burns during a fire at her home.
June Garvey will be laid to rest on Thursday, July 22.
The 63-year-old, who was left disabled by a brain haemorrhage 12 years ago, spent months in two hospitals after being rescued from the blaze at her home in Warren Road, Leyton, by neighbours on February 12.
An inconclusive post-mortem was carried out on June 30 and an inquest was opened and adjourned.
Mrs Garvey's family has planned an impressive send off for her.
The funeral procession will start at the Sleeping Beauty Motel in Lea Bridge Road, Leyton, at 9am.
A horse drawn carriage is due to follow a route along High Road Leyton to the couple's former home, before finishing at St Mary's Church in Church Road, Leyton.
Peter Garvey, Mrs garvey's husband, said he hopes to see many friends along the route.
The wake will be held in Clacton-on-Sea in Essex, where Julie, one of the couple's three daughters lives.
Mr Garvey asked anyone wishing to attend the wake in Clacton to contact him on 07540 931251.
