AN AUDIENCE of hundreds enjoyed a music concert by talented pupils from one of the area's secondary schools last week.

Students from Woodbridge High School in Woodford Green staged their annual summer concert last Wednesday (July 14), with a programme that include such diverse acts as rock bands, soloists, the well-established school orchestra, and even the school Ceilidh band making their debut performance.

Acts included groups The Badgers, Effect, Revolt, Project and Brown Sugar, while singers showing off their skills included Miss Vox, the Gospel Group, Elena Tuck, Asher Silverman and the Jamieson sisters.

Assistant headteacher Jeremy Clifton said: “The music concert just gets better every time. More and more of our students are involved each time and the depth of talent is astonishing.

“The recently renovated sound and lighting provide the perfect stage for performances of such quality.

“I would like to thank our music staff, Linda Court, Alex Butters and Colin Robinson for making it all happen.”
