TWO hairdressers are set to spend part of the summer dodging bears, wolves and maybe even the odd vampire when they trek across Transylvania for charity.
Lloyd Devere, 34, and Tom Shilton, 22, of Lloyds Hairdressers in Ongar High Street, are hoping to raise more than £2,000 for St Clare Hospice and the Make a Wish Foundation with their epic week-long adventure.
Mr Shilton, of St Jame's Avenue in Ongar, said: “The charities are very important to us both. My uncle died at St Clare's and everyone round here knows someone who's been there, and we felt we had to support such a good local cause.
“We're really looking forward to it. It's supposed to be one of the toughest treks you can do, and at some points we'll be going up mountains that are 3,000 metres above sea level.”
The duo will set off on the trip on Tuesday August 10.
