THERE'S a lovely bounty of local music this week with the last few days of the Leytonstone Festival.
One of the highlights is a big show at the Sheepwalk pub in the High Road this Friday (July 23) with a headline set from Irish rock band The Answer, who are playing this gig as a warm-up ahead of their main stage appearance at High Voltage Festival in London's Victoria Park this weekend.
The show is expected to fill the venue to the brim, so get there early if you want to catch the tunes.
Support comes from Jettblack and Rowse.
Doors open at 8pm, with the first band on at 8.15pm. It's organised by promoters What's Cookin'.
But if that's not to your liking, swing and jazz group Quartz play the Luna Lounge in Church Lane on Friday (July 23).

But of course there are far too many festival gigs to cram in here, so for a full programme head down to leytonstonefestival.org.uk.
However, just because the festival is sadly coming to an end doesn't mean the tunes are stopping.
