A MATRON at a top London hospital received a royal visitor earlier this week.
Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal made an appearance at the London Clinic in Harley Street on Tuesday (July 20), where she was met by matron Amanda Hallums.
Mrs Hallums, of The Pines in Woodford Green took the Princess on a tour of the clinic during her visit to launch a new fundraising venture with the Intensive Care Partnership.
The scheme will enable patients and their relatives to raise cash to directly fund for research into better intensive care medicine.
This is the not first time a member of the royal family has been to the clinic this year.
In April this year Mrs Hallums met the Queen and Prince Philip when they came to open its new state-of-the-art cancer ward.
Anyone interested in making a donation to the fund should call Mrs Hallums on 020 7616 7748.
