London is well-known for its open spaces, and a series of events starting this weekend aims to help people get the most out of them.
Love Parks Week will offer a wide range of activities taking place outdoors, for instance Tai Chi taster sessions, mini-beast hunts, bike rides, Shakespeare plays and live jazz to name but a few.
It is organised by GreenSpace, a charity that works to improve parks and green spaces, and takes place throughout the country.
Events taking place across the area include Waltham Forest Mela, a programme of Asian music, dance and culture, at Chestnuts Showground, Walthamstow on July 25.
Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing will be performed in the Outdoor Theatre, WaterWorks Nature Reserve, Leyton, on July 28.
There will also be an Introduction to Bushcraft one-day course taking place at Hainault Lodge Local Nature Reserve on July 31, which will teach a range of wilderness skills.
Love Parks Week runs from July 24 to August 1. For full event listings, visit www.loveparksweek.org.uk
