A GROUP of "neighbours from hell" have been evicted because of their anti-social behaviour.
Police and staff from Quadrant Housing Trust stormed their flat in Friars Close, Chingford, after obtaining a court order demanding they leave.
The problem tenants initially ignored the order, which was issued on Thursday July 15.
However when police arrived at the scene last week they discovered that the occupants had fled.
The flat has now been boarded up.
One neighbour, who did not wish to be named, said: "I feel like I have won the lottery now they have gone.
"The Neighbourhood Services Officer, Laura Cravitz, has been very supportive, as have the local officers."
PC Rob Wing from Larkswood Safer Neighbourhoods Team said: "We would appeal to anyone who has information regarding criminal and anti social behaviour to contact their local Safer Neighbourhoods Team.
"We will respond to information regarding anti social behaviour and work with partners to take positive action.
"You can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous."
