THE cream of arts crafts and horticulture in Theydon Bois was on display at the village's 101st Annual Show on Saturday.
The village hall show, which was organised by Theydon Bois Horticultural Society, featured garden produce, photography and painting among many more classes and about 200 people attended.
The show's secretary, Connie Shears, of Coppice Row, said: “The standard of entries was excellent and I think every year, everyone excels themselves.
“People were getting their ideas for next year. A lot of work goes into it. They start looking for ideas now and if they enter something like a quilt, they make it through the winter months and it's ready in time for next July.
“It's a real village event.”
Businesses in the village contributed raffle prizes and paid for advertising to support the event, which was presided over by Barry Turner with his wife Jane as the general secretary.
The money raised will help to fund the society's activities, which include providing flowers for the cemetery and replacement trees for the village, with the parish council.
