THE SCIENTIFIC past of the borough can be explored at a new event.
The Super Science exhibition is now on at the Redbridge Museum in Ilford and features a host of fascinating displays and games, plus stacks of information about the role the area played in the development of science in the UK.
Visitors can find out about 18th century astronomer James Pound, who lived in Wanstead, as well as world famous photographic firm Ilford Limited, electrical manufacturer Plessey, and Kelvin Hughes, a nautical equipment firm which is still based in Hainault.
