TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR could go to war with Liverpool to sign a youngster who is rated as one of the finest English strikers outside the Premier League.
Reports have linked both clubs with England youth international Connor Wickham, who is 17 years-old and plays for Ipswich.
The Tractor Boys are rumoured to have rejected an £8m bid by Harry Redknapp for the starlet. He could face even more competition for Wickham, who rates Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger as a fan.
This week, Kop boss Roy Hodgson was understood to be preparing an £8.5m to thwart Redknapp.
