CHILDREN had a teddy bears' picnic at the mobile library in Chigwell yesterday.
About 20 children from the Chigwell and Hainault Synagogue Nursery were read stories about bears and teddies as the library was parked in Limes Avenue.
The group manager for libraries in the Loughton area, Karen Prentice, said: "They really enjoyed it. I brought a few teddy bears along to play with.
"We have extended our stop at Limes Avenue and it's proving very popular."
The mobile library stops there every other Thursday from 11.40am until 12.30pm.
