ON Wednesday and Thursday, May 26 and 27, the Year 13 BTEC Performing Arts group, Bloo Throne Theatre Company performed their Evening of Musical Theatre to sell-out audiences.
The evening comprised of musical numbers from many different, well-loved musicals including the Cell Block Tango from Chicago and Joyful Joyful from Sister Act. The performances were both entertaining and very well executed by the group, and ensured audiences left the event singing and dancing all the way home.
The group were joined by the KS3 choir for some of the numbers and worked together very well.
Bloo Throne would like to say a big thank you to the choir for their support with the show.
Bloo Throne was established last year and has produced many shows, both at its home theatre as well as in the local community.
The Evening of Musical Theatre was the final performance from the Year 13 BTEC group, who sadly leave us for bigger and brighter things at university next year.
On behalf of the performance faculty, I would like to wish Ryckie Husbands, Jessica Matsebula, Robbie Fox, Senem Boyaci, Gabriella Melin and Shmeika Richards all the very best for the future, and well done on a great final show – you were truly fabulous.
