THE colourful story of one boy and his quest to find the tooth fairy proved an enthralling tale for youngsters at a summer holiday theatre show.

Bangers & Mash Theatre Company's performance of Elliott and the Tooth Fairy, at Chigwell Library, in Hainault Road, kept a full house entertained with its combination of puppetry, songs, and storytelling.

The show tells the story of a young boy called Elliott who breaks a tooth and must find the tooth fairy to be granted a wish.

On his travels he meets lots of characters including Bernard the parrot, Barry the sheep and Molly the cat.

The story ended with the moral to always clean your teeth before bedtime.

District council arts assistant Vanessa Gayton, who helped organise the event, said: “It included lots of songs and a lot of audience participation. The kids loved the puppets and it was very pantoesque “It was fantastic, and the library was fully booked. Bangers & Mash always pull it out of the bag.”
