THE Government has allocated £280m to Olympic organisers for security at venues.
The money will fund measues like fencing and bag searches.
But the total £600m Olympic security budget could be cut down to £475m in a bid for the Home Office to make savings.
Venues are expected to be handed over to London 2012 next year.
Although most of the games will be focused in Stratford, several other locations including Hampden Park in Glasgow, Cardiff's Millennium Stadium and Weymouth, Dorset, will be used.
