A PUBLIC meeting will be held tonight to discuss controversial plans for a new development by Walthamstow Central station, which include a proposed 13-storey tower block.
Solum Regeneration wants to build 69 homes in two residential units, five shops and the 99-room hotel block at the site next to Priory Avenue.
But some residents have criticised the plans, claiming the design of the buildings is ugly and the height excessive.
The company has also been accused of misrepresenting the plans to the community by using publicity images which do not show the full scale of the development - a claim Solum denies.
Tonight's meeting will be held at the community centre at 119-121 Grove Rd, Walthamstow, and will begin at 6.30pm.
The plans will be available to view and several ward councillors will be attending to discuss the development with residents.
