TWO people were trapped inside a car after it left the road on an icy lane this morning.
Police closed Crown Hill in Epping, which runs between Upshire and Epping High Road (B1393) following the crash, which took place at just after 7:30 this morning.
Essex Fire Service was called at 7:47 and sent a rescue team from Harlow and two engines from Loughton and Waltham Abbey stations.
The car – a green Mercedes – turned over onto its roof as it travelled down the bank and became lodged in the branches of a tree.
Two ambulances and an air ambulance were sent to the scene.
Fire brigade officers helped the occupants out of the car and left them in the care of the ambulance service at 8.21am.
