THE Met Office has issued a new severe weather warning for the region today as widespread travel disruption caused by snow and freezing conditions continues.
Train services are badly affected while most roads and pavements remain ungritted across Epping Forest, Redbridge and Waltham Forest.
There are severe delays on the Central underground line, with problems on many other routes as well.
Traffic jams are reported on many key routes such as the A406 North Circular and the M11.
Temperatures plunged to as low as -14°C in some parts of London last night, and forecasters say there could be more snow to come later today.
