ART lovers defied the driving snow to see work by some of the area's creative residents this weekend.
Dozens of people visited the first Art Group Wanstead Art and Craft Fair at The George pub, in Wanstead High Street, on Saturday (December 18).
Among the items on sale were paintings, sculptures, stained glass, beads, and much more.
Organiser Donna Mizzi said: “We were amazed. As the thick snow settled the stall-holders laughed and said they couldn't expect people to venture out in such difficult conditions.
“But the fair even became crowded, with customers jostling for space at some points.
“Admittedly, some people had just come into The George for a hot drink, and were surprised to find fabulous gifts without leaving the premises.”
