KIND-HEARTED parents and children at Walthamstow Toy Library have donated dozens of brand new Chirstmas presents to less fortunate youngsters in the borough.
It is the third year that the centre, in Ravenswood Road, has worked with the Salvation Army, social services and a variety of other children's centres to organise the collection.
Helen Crockford, chair of the Walthamstow Toy Library volunteer committee, said: “We spend a lot of time fund-raising to keep our own charity running and at this time of goodwill we wanted to help another local charity too.
"We’re thrilled to be supporting the Salvation Army’s great work.”
The gifts will go to children in the borough who would not otherwise receive festive presents.
