A STRIKE by London Underground train drivers on Boxing Day will definitely go ahead after last-minute talks broke down.
Union Aslef claims Tube bosses are treating December 26 as an "ordinary day".
It had wanted extra pay and a day in lieu for those working on the festive date.
ASLEF general secretary Keith Norman said: "Nothing changed at this morning’s meeting and therefore the strike will go ahead.
"This is not a dispute of the union’s making, but one caused by stubborn management intransigence."
Transport for London say there are long-standing agreements in place with workers about Boxing Day shifts.
Earlier a spokesman said: "It is disgraceful that Aslef should try to hold Londoners and London Underground (LU) to ransom in this way."
