A MOTORCYCLIST who died in a crash in Enfield has been identified by police as a Walthamstow man.

Today officers revealed that Michael Richard Francis Angelo, 57, was the victim of the smash, which happened in Meridian Way at around 1am on Thursday December 23.

It is thought that his red Honda C90 bike was hit by a silver Nissan Micra car.

The emergency services rushed to the road but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police also arrested a 20-year-old man at the scene.

He has since been bailed to return to a north London police station.

An inquest into the death was opened and adjourned on Saturday December 29 at Barnet Coroner's Court.

Chadwell Heath Road Death Investigation Unit is investigating.
