POLICE are appealing for information after two doormen were shot in the early hours of New Year's Day.

Officers were called to the Crystals Banqueting Suite in Ilford High Road at around 3.40am on January 1, where two men had an altercation before one of them pulled a gun and fired two shots.

One of the doormen at the venue, aged 23, was shot in the leg, while the other, 38, was hit in the foot.

According to police, the older man did not realise he had been shot until he went home.

The men were treated at Chase Farm Hospital in Enfield and Homerton Hospital in Hackney respectively, before being discharged.

So far, police have not made any arrests.
