A TEENAGER is in a serious condition after being stabbed.
The 14-year-old boy was standing with a friend in Underwood Court on the Leyton Grange Estate, off Church Road, Leyton, at 8.45 last night (January 9) when he was attacked by a gang.
The victim began to walk away but collapsed when he realised he had been stabbed.
A Whipps Cross University employee is said to have administered live-saving first aid before an ambulance arrived.
The boy is currently described as being in a stable condition in hospital.
No further description of the attackers has been released and police say it is unclear how many were involved.
Police say they are keeping an open mind about the motive for the attack.
There have been no arrests.
