POLICE have issued a warning to walkers in Chingford after a woman was approached by a man who performed a sex act in front of her.
The lady was walking with her two dogs in the woods opposite Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge, in Rangers Road, at around 1.30pm on Sunday (January 9) when she noticed someone shouting at her.
When she looked in the direction of the noise she saw a man standing nearby carrying out an indecent act on himself.
The woman, who had been on her mobile phone, ran off and went directly to Chingford Police Station to inform officers.
The suspect is described as being white, aged between 45 and 50 years of age.
He was wearing a black, beanie style hat with a black waterproof zip up jacket and dark trousers. He also had a bicycle with him.
Anyone with information about the man can call Waltham Forest Police on 0300 123 1212.
A police spokeswoman urged lone walkers in the area to remain vigilant.
She added: "Always call 999 in an emergency."
