CAMPAIGNERS are to hold a public meeting next week to discuss possible cuts to health services in the borough.
The Government is expected to announce proposals for reforms to the NHS early next week which it says will improve the efficiency of the system.
But critics fear Whitehall's plans will lead to the gradual privatisation of public health facilities and damage frontline services.
The meeting, organised by the Keep Our NHS Public organisation, will be held at Ye Olde Rose and Crown pub in Hoe Street, Walthamstow, at 7.30pm on Tuesday January 18.
The group's Waltham Forest branch representative Jim Fagan said the meeting would hear from doctors concerned about reforms to the NHS and would also feature a discussion on future campaigning activities.
