ONE of the district's high streets has been turned into a film set for the past few weeks.
An actor and producer from Epping is shooting part of a feature-length film called Lost in Italy, starring Ray Winstone, in the town's Club 195, just off the High Street.
Glen Murphy, who appeared in the TV drama London's Burning in the 1990s, is producing and starring in the film.
He has also used the Italian restaurant Unico, further along the High Street and said filming was progressing well.
“I was an Epping lad until a few years ago and wanted to make it as local as possible,” he said. “In the film, a man wakes up in 1964 and has no idea what's going on.”
The filming is due to finish in Theydon Bois and Leyton tomorrow (Thursday) and Mr Murphy said he hoped the film would be screened at cinemas in the near future.
