A WOMAN has been fined after kneeing a police officer in the groin while he dealt with the aftermath of a car accident involving her mother.
Nadia Jaulim, 26, was fined £250 after being found guilty of assaulting Sergeant Ellis of Redbridge Police, at a hearing at Redbridge Magistrates' Court.
Police were called to a car accident in Waverley Road in South Woodford at just before midnight on Sunday, August 29, and Jaulim arrived on the scene shortly afterwards as her mother was involved in the crash.
Jaulim, of New North Road in Ilford, obstructed police officers as she tried to lead her mother away from the scene, despite being told several times not to do so.
She then kneed Sgt Ellis in the groin, but fortunately he wasn't injured and didn't need any treatment.
Jaulim was also ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge following the hearing on January 6.
Earlier that day, Jaulim's mother and some other family members had been to the Notting Hill Carnival in west London, and were travelling home when the crash occurred.
