A MUCH-LOVED park is getting a massive makeover as a plan to plant thousands of new trees gets in full flow.
Residents and green-fingered enthusiasts can still come down today to Roding Valley Park, in Onslow Gardens, South Woodford to help plant 10,000 trees.
Park rangers and the Trees for Cities project are working together to try to improve the park for the community and wildlife.
Many activities for the family will run throughout the day, including arts and crafts and face painting.
The event is part of RE:LEAF London, a campaign to plant 20,000 new trees across London, which is being run in conjunction with the charity Trees for Cities.
Today's event will run from 11am to 3pm.
