SCHOOL children are being given more of a say over what happens in their community.
The 'Have Your say' postcards and Youth Council suggestion boxes are now available in schools in the Epping forest District for 11 to 18-year-olds to complete.
The idea is for them to communicate directly with the Epping Forest Youth Council, to raise an issue or make a complaint about anything, ranging from a pot hole on the road to a street light that is not working.
The youth councillors will pass the information to the district council offices.
After a year in office, the councillors have also held a Youth Project of the Year Award, a speed meeting and a Promoting Youth democracy conference.
