VANDALISM and yobbish behaviour are just some of the issues up for discussion at the first ever anti-social behaviour surgery meeting in the borough, later this month.
Residents in the Valentines, Newbury Park and Clementswood wards are invited to talk to the council's Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) team next week on Thursday (January 27), at the Cardinal Heenan Centre, High Road, Ilford.
Other issues on the list include:
• Nuisance neighbours
• Rowdy and nuisance behaviour
• Yobbish behaviour and intimidating groups taking over public space
• Vandalism, dumping rubbish and abandoning cars
• Begging and antisocial drinking
• The misuse of fireworks
• Constant dog barking, whining or howling
• Loud parties in residential areas
• Excessively amplified music, television or musical equipment
• Noisy DIY or building works outside regulated times
• Unattended intruder alarm or vehicle alarm
• Noise from commercial premises such as pubs, restaurants, factories etc
• Hate crimes and harassment because of prejudice against race, religion, sexuality, gender-identity, disability or age.
If the event is a success more of these ASB surgeries will be rolled out to other areas of the borough.
