SCOUTS tested their pedal power at a thrilling adventure camp.
Members of the Loughton-based 41st Epping Forest Scout Group visited Thriftwood Scout Activity Centre in Brentwood along with hundreds of scouts from other groups across Essex last weekend (January 8 and 9).
The adventurous youngsters took part in the National Scout Pedal Kart Olympics, and had a go at more than 50 activities, including ice climbing and zorbing.
Nico Martini, 13, from Loughton, said: “I really enjoyed the winter camp. I love camping as a scout, but this is was totally different from what I have been used to.”
Helen Church, a scout leader from the group, said: “Trying out all these activities with the scouts was great. The event was really good, and we plan on taking part again.
“As an adult in scouting I get stuck into all the activities and I have an absolutely fantastic time. So if you fancy it and want to meet some amazing people, then why not give scouting a try?”
