THREE primary schools will find out tomorrow if they can provide extra school places from September.
The schools are all applying for a new form to admit 30 extra pupils from September.
Woodside Primary School, in Wood Street, Walthamstow, wants to increase admission to 120. It currently has 655 pupils.
Gwyn Jones Primary, in Hainault Road, Leytonstone, wants to double its admission 60 pupils. It currently has 206 pupils.
Wellington Primary School, in Wellington Avenue, Chingford, has plans to discontinue College Green Nursery on it site and increase the intake at the school to include children aged three and four. The school, which currently has 277 pupils wants to increase admission to 60.
The council's cabinet committee will be meeting tomorrow night to discuss the plans.
Last year the council said that 48 new primary school classrooms were needed across the borough by 2012 to meet demand.
This has prompted a number of expansions across the borough.
The latest expansion was agreed earlier this month when the council allowed George Tomlinson Primary, in Vernon Road, Leytonstone, to take on an extra 200 pupils once it has extensions to existing classrooms.
The changes will allow the school to teach three forms a year instead of the current two, increasing the total number of pupils to 630.
