A 53-YEAR-OLD man was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire in his bedroom in the early hours of this morning.
Essex Fire Service was called just after 3am to a bungalow in Parkmeade in Loughton.
Two crews from Loughton and one from Woodford tackled the fire, which was put out at around 3.23am.
Officers wore breathing equipment while they fought the fire with two hoses, and then cleared smoke from the bungalow using a ventilation fan.
One ambulance was sent to the scene and paramedics treated the man for smoke inhalation, but he did not need to be taken to hospital.
