A CYCLIST who was killed during a rush-hour accident has been named.
Colin Hawkes, 64, from South Woodford, died after colliding with a car at around 8am on Wednesday (January 19). His family have been informed.
The accident happened in Carleton Road, at the junction with Pleshey Road, in Holloway, north London.
London Ambulance Service were called and paramedics took Mr Hawkes to hospital, but he later died.
The driver of the car, a 34-year-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and then bailed to return to police in May.
Police also said a silver Peugeot 307 stopped at the scene after the accident.
A date has not yet been set for a post-mortem.
